Windows Media Player tricks

First of all go to the Start Menu then Run and type “regedit” and Registry Editor will be opened.
and mind making a backup of your registry in case any damage could be possible..

Removing recent playlist in the history:

Go to the: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\RecentFileList

For removing recent URL's go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\RecentURLList

Now delete playlists Naming there..

Disable Upgrade message in Windows Media Player:

Go to : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\PlayerUpgrade

and create a new String Value name it “AskMeAgain” and give the value of NO

Hiding anchor window in Windows Media Player:

Go to : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsMediaPlayer

Click on creating a new DWORD and name it “DoNotShowAnchor” and give the value of 1

Changing title name in Windows Media Player:

Go to : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsMediaPlayer

Create a new SRTING and type any desired name.

Lock interface skin in WMP:

Go to : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsMediaPlayer

Create a new String value with the name of Default Skin with (.wmz)

Now make a new DWORD and name it“SetAndLockSkin” and give it a value of 1.

How to Enable DVD features in Windows Media Player:

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Player\Settings

Simply ceate a new String value and name it “EnableDVDUI” and give it value of YES.
